DeclarerBattle Help

About DeclarerBattle

DeclarerBattle is a 2-player competitive bridge card-play game. Players are Red and Blue. The dealer alternates and is always the declarer. The other player defends with an AI partner. Scoring is individual.

Toolbar Items

Connection status — green = connected, red = disconnected
Voice mode — green = listening, tap to toggle on/off

Table Elements

SPlayer icons — highlighted border shows whose turn it is
Difficulty indicator — green/yellow/red outside table edge
Dealer indicator — white line inside table on dealer's side

Playing Cards

On a touch device, tap a card to select it, then tap again to confirm. With a mouse, click to play directly. You must follow suit if able.

The declarer also plays dummy's cards (shown at the top of the table).

Voice Commands

Tap the microphone to enable voice play. Say the card rank (and suit if needed). If you can follow suit, just say the rank. Say "undo" to take back.

Settings Panel

The settings panel (screen icon) contains:

Theme — toggle light/dark background
Orientation — switch portrait/landscape layout
+Zoom — resize the display (lock with padlock)

4-colour cards — ♠ black, red, blue, green

Zoom and orientation changes auto-revert after 10 seconds unless locked.

Scoring

DeclarerBattle uses simplified scoring to keep contests balanced regardless of contract level:

  • Contract made: 300 points to declarer's side
  • Each overtrick: +30 to declarer's side
  • Each undertrick: +50 to the defence

Difficulty

Each player selects their own difficulty in the lobby before joining:

Easy Med Hard

Higher difficulty means harder contracts (more tricks needed). Players can choose different levels, creating a handicap system — experienced players on Hard, newcomers on Easy.

Game Setup

One player creates a table and shares the room code. The other joins using the code. Players choose Red or Blue. The creator (admin) controls dealing and can close the table. Two players are needed to start.
